CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) -- Three men in northwest Arkansas are behind bars after an armed home invasion.
The Crawford County Sheriff's Office said Derrick Collins, Brandon Shelley, and Dillon Weaver busted into a home Thursday with a teenager inside.
Douglas Walton, 16, was home sick when he heard someone break into the home. He heard them rummaging around the home when it suddenly got quiet.
The suspects were met by his dad in the driveway.
"He got in the car and was trying to leave, and I told him 'You've been in my house. You're going to jail.' He said 'No, please don't call the cops,' and I said 'Yes, I'm calling the cops. I already have them on the phone now. You're going to jail,'" said Martin Walton.
Martin Walton said that's when one of the men got behind the wheel of Walton's truck, and another jumped in the truck bed. Martin said one of the suspects fired shots and escaped.
Deputies later caught them. Most of the items, including their truck, have been returned.
