LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Here's a look at what's trending on the web!
Argentine Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio elected Pope, called Pope Francis
The world's 1.2 billion Catholics now have a new pope, and he is the first one from the Americas. Pope Francis also marks the first Pope elected in what we are deeming the social media age.
The last time around, Facebook was a year old and twitter didn't exist. This time the Vatican didn't hesitate to take to Twitter after the pope was chosen.
@Pontifex tweeted out "Habemus Papam Franciscum," which translates to 'We have a Pope, Francis.'
Fake accounts were also naturally created for the new pope, so be careful who you follow. Speaking of fake accounts, while we waited to see who the new pope would be, a seagull took up residence atop the Sistine Chapel chimney along with new fame.
Social media started squawking immediately with word of the bird.
@SistineSeagull already has its own Twitter account, and hashtags like "#seagullhostiletakeover" have taken off.
Pepsi MAX & Jeff Gordon Present: "Test Drive"
What happens when you take NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon, hidden cameras, and a disguise to a car dealership? Let's just say one of the best pranks ever.
It was all part of a promotional "prank" for Pepsi Max. In the video, Gordon acts like a customer at the car dealership.
When the car sales-man convinces him to test drive the Camaro, Gordon takes him on a ride he will likely never forget, including racing along the top of a loading dock.
In-home car wash offers a shine, but may dent wallet
Our last trending story is a new invention--one of those cool gadgets that makes everyone say 'I want that.'
Imagine a car wash in your own garage. For just $33,500, you can have a home car wash, but don't worry if the price is too high right because you can always wait.
The inventor hopes that with popularity and improvements in technology, the home car wash will become a standard in every home.
The system also captures used water for home irrigation.
