LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- A woman in the Department of Community Correction died in custody.

Francis Tanner, who had been placed in a Department of Community Correction correctional center, died early today from what appears to be natural causes. The 54-year-old resident had been assigned to the Southeast Community Correction Center.

Tanner was placed in the Center on charges of forgery and residential burglary out of Ouachita County.

She was slated to be released to community supervision near the end of April.

The State Crime Lab will perform an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
