SALLISAW, Okla. (KTHV) -- An Oklahoma mother, who is accused of trying to sell her children to an Arkansas woman, pleaded not guilty to child trafficking charges.
KFSM reported that police in Sallisaw said Misty VanHorn wanted money to bail her boyfriend out of jail and turned to Facebook after unsuccessfully going door-to-door to raise the funds. That's when investigators said Vanhorn tried to sell one of her kids to a woman in Fort Smith.
A detective said at first, she asked for $1,000 for her 2-year-old then later offered both children for $4,000.
VanHorn remains behind bars.
