SPRINGDALE, Ark. (KFSM) -- Police in Northwest Arkansas are focusing much of their attention on teachers and students this spring break by teaching them a lesson that could mean the difference between life and death. They're learning how to survive a mass shooting.
KFSM reported that real video of gunmen and actual 911 calls were played for a class designed to show teachers and students how to react to dangerous situations. It's a lesson Rogers teacher Kristy Weathers said goes beyond her previous training.
The Springdale Police Department has more training planned in a few weeks.
