LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Here's a look at Tuesday's list of things trending around the web!
Mayflower Oil Spill
A lot of eyes are on Mayflower this week after the oil spill. One of the more powerful viewer videos from the accident came from THV 11 viewer Drew Barnes.
If you haven't seen it, it literally shows oil flowing into the neighborhood street like a river. His video has been viewed more than 1 point 6 million times. Watch below:
A funny thing also caught our eye today. On Craigslist, somebody posted an ad for a neighborhood oil giveaway. It said over 12,000 gallons to the first person who gets them.
The ad did show some frustration with Exxon saying quote:
"It's just laying around, poisoning our families and homes and soil and soaking into our water table."
Bielema: Saban's Big Ten record 'can't compare' to mine
It is not taking long for new Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema to turn some heads in the SEC world.
By now most of you have probably heard his comments from the Saline County Razorback Club fish fry last week. The head hog said he is here to beat Alabama and win SEC Championships--words that are sure to excite many hog fans.
But, it was what he said about Nick Saban--arguably one of the most successful football coaches in college football today-that caught attention.
Bielema said quote:
"You can take Saban's record when he was at Michigan State and when he was a coach in the Big Ten and put it against mine, and he can't compare."
Of course that sent sports guys into a media frenzy, and yesterday, Nick Saban responded:
"I really don't defend anything I ever did at any place we have ever been. Everybody has different situations that we are in. Everybody inherits different situations. That is certainly what we have always tried to do."
Bielema is right. He did have a better Big Ten record than Saban, but Alabama has won 3 national titles in 4 years.
To sum it all up---We miss football already. Arkansas will meet Alabama in Tuscaloosa on October 19.
Kung Fu Grandpa in the Food Lion parking lot
This Youtube video is one of the most watched videos online this past week with 7.5 million views.
They call him the kung fu grandpa, and many are watching the video just because of the commentary alone.
The commentary in the video comes courtesy of Reverend Aamon Miller. He said he was just sitting outside a grocery store when he saw the man practicing his kung fu.
Reverend Miller said he found out the reason the man was doing that is because he hates shopping, so while his girlfriend is inside the man decides to get some practice time in.
