AMPIHAONANA, Madagascar (CBS) -- Singer Katy Perry paid a visit to Madagascar last week.
She was there to support the United Nations Children's fund.
The group says she's trying to bring attention to the difficulties facing children in one of the poorest nations in the world.
It said she saw the full range of the agency's programs, including education, nutrition, sanitation, and hygiene.
In the video you see her visiting a preschool and primary school that UNICEF rebuilt after it was destroyed by a tropical cyclone.
