A-State vs. UCA baseball cancelled due to threat of severe weather

    JONESBORO, Ark. (ASU) - Due to the threat of severe weather in the Jonesboro area, the Arkansas State-Central Arkansas baseball game originally scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night at Tomlinson Stadium has been cancelled.

    Fans who purchased a ticket to tonight's game will be able to exchange it for a general admission to a future game of their choice this season. To exchange the ticket please visit the ASU Ticket office, located in the Convocation Center at the lower red entrance.

    ASU has a 19-14 overall record on the year and 6-6 mark in Sun Belt Conference play. The Red Wolves will host South Alabama for a three-game series April 12-14 at Tomlinson Stadium.

    Friday's game will be a Friday Family 4-Pack night with fans having the opportunity to purchase four game tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for $30. Saturday's game will be Scout Day, with all scout's receiving one free general admission ticket when they arrive at the stadium in uniform. After the conclusion of Sunday's game kids will have an opportunity to take the field and run the bases.

    The Bears (24-8), coming off a record-setting 30-0 victory over Grambling State on Tuesday night, will return to action at 6 p.m. Friday for a Southland Conference series against Nicholls State at Bear Stadium.

    Saturday's Game 2 will begin at 4, with the series finale set for 1 p.m. Sunday.
