Police: Heidi Taylor swiped wallet, credit cards from Good Samaritan

    BENTON, Ark. (KTHV) - Benton Police have arrested a woman in connection with a recent theft case.

    According to Lt. Kevin Russell, a person gave 48-yeaqr-old Heidi Taylor, of Benton, a ride on April 12 after she asked for one, but after she reached her destination and left, the driver noticed that his wallet and credit cards had been stolen.

    Russell said Taylor was later found April 16 in the area of Hwy 35 and Reed Street; she had died her hair blonde to avoid being noticed. Officers said she ran when approached but was still caught and arrested.

    Taylor was taken to the Saline County Detention Facility where she was charged with two counts of Theft of Property (Felony and Misdemeanor), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Fleeing, and Resisting Arrest. Additionally, Taylor had active warrants out of Saline County and Sherwood.
