LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Say the word "entrepreneur" these days and you often think of hot-shot young business people, but in Little Rock Wednesday, the U.S. Small Business Association and AARP worked together to help more experienced hot-shots get back in business.

The SBA held a drop-in event with different government agencies and business groups all together in one place -- a one-stop-shop for advice and help getting businesses off the ground.

"What we are trying to do is to encourage people -- people we call Encore Entrepreneurs [and] people over 50 -- targeting them to start businesses or expand businesses but really to start small businesses," said Carol Silverstrom, SBA Lead Business Development Specialist.

The SBA said they always have resources available for potential new business owners. The event was designed to be an informal way to meet them all in one place.
