LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - One small elementary school in the Little Rock School District is trying to raise the appropriate funds for a much needed building on their campus.
Forest Park Elementary has no indoor gym, so the school put forth plans to raise enough private funds to build a multipurpose athletic pavilion for its students.
During an announcement at the school Thursday, the PTA said the school had raised more than $320,000 in private funds over the course of seven months. They're giving that money to the school district to start building, but there is one small kink in the plans.
The problem is that the school needs another $20,000 to complete the project. They're hoping parents and alumni will help and are now offering engraved bricks for purchase. The deadline to donate or purchase bricks is May 3.
