LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Three North Pulaski High School students were put to the test in front of a Food Network judge.
A contest was held was part of a national program, called Pro-Start, which is geared toward developing the best and brightest talent into tomorrow's restaurant and foodservice leaders.
Maneet Chauhan was the guest judge. She is the star of hit Food Network Show, Chopped. She said as a professional chef, it is important to share your wisdom with the future of the culinary world.
"We are going to be leaving our industry to these kids. It is so incredible to see the dedication the amount of focus, passion. I'm reminded why I joined this industry in the first place," said Chauhan.
The three students had 40 minutes to create an entrée that represents contemporary American cuisine.
Chef Maneet said they all tasted amazing.
