LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Little Rock police have charged a third suspect in the officer-involved shooting Thursday.
Police have Gary Coleman, 21 of North Little Rock, in custody.
Both he and the second suspect from Thursday, 18-year-old Roy Boles, are charged with capital murder, two counts of theft by receiving, auto breaking and entering as well as fleeing.
The first suspect, 18-year-old Kenzell Hobbs, was fatally shot by police while fleeing the scene.
Hobbs, Boles, and Coleman were allegedly breaking into cars in the N. Pierce area when police were called. Boles was arrested at that time while Hobbs fled.
Police say that Hobbs got into a physical fight with one officer before he took off. And shortly after he turned and fired at police. That's when police say Officer Stephen Gorbert fired back, hitting Hobbs in the upper torso.
Hobbs later died of his injuries at the hospital.
