Lara Blume, originally from Little Rock, AR, returned home from Newport Beach, CA October 4, 2011 with efforts to create a platform for her father to share the story of his life with ALS.

By partnering with the ALS Association of Arkansas, Lara was able to create Models & Jocks, a high energy fashion show that features former collegiate and professional athletes. The show was created to bring needed awareness to ALS and raise funds for patients suffering with the disease in Arkansas.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord; eventually paralyzing the patient. The disease affects two per 100,000 people.
