LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A man was shot to death late Monday night in Little Rock.

Little Rock police say Kelshawn Mouton was shot to death on Black Jack Court at 11 p.m. Monday night.

According to witnesses, Mouton had been shot to death by a man who had left the scene before police arrived.

Witnesses tell police that the suspect had followed Mouton and the suspect's ex-girlfriend in a car on Stagecoach Road. The ex-girlfriend says the suspect had been harassing her about some money she owed him.

When they tried to turn around on Black Jack Court, the suspect blocked them in, got out of his car, and confronted the woman. Witnesses say Mouton got out of the car to defend the woman, pulled out a gun and fired into the air.

That's when witnesses say the suspect pulled out a gun and fired several shots with one hitting Mouton and another hitting a nearby home. The suspect then picked up Mouton's gun and left the scene.

The suspect is not in custody and police are continuing their search for him. If you have any information on this crime you are asked to call police.
