JONESBORO, Ark. (ASU) - The Arkansas State baseball program announced Tuesday that dates have been set and registration is open for the 2013 Tommy Raffo ASU Summer Baseball Camps. Three camps are scheduled in June at Tomlinson Stadium on the ASU Campus.
Coach Raffo and his staff will provide instruction as the camps, while current and former Red Wolves' players will assist in the camp instruction as well.
The camps will offer specialized training designed to improve the campers' hitting, defensive play and baseball techniques through a variety of drills and game-type settings.
"Young players attending our camps will receive instruction from our coaches and players in a fun environment," Raffo said. "Future Red Wolves will learn skills that will make them better ballplayers and our camps are a great way to start the summer."
The camps will get underway June 3-6 with a youth camp for player's ages 6-11. The camps will go from 8 a.m. - noon each day and the cost to attend is $160. A second youth camp will be held June 17-20 for the same age groups and price.
A junior high camp will also take place June 24-27 and is open to players ages 12-14. The camp will go from 8 a.m. - noon each day and the cost to attend is $160.
The cost of the camps includes all registrations fees and a camp a T-shirt. Check-in will begin at 7:30 a.m. on the first day of each camp and all camps will be held at Tomlinson Stadium.
Campers can register online or can call the ASU Baseball Office at 870-972-2700.
