LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Investigators suspect that someone broke into units at the Riverdale Mini Storage facility in Little Rock Thursday morning, then set units on fire.
Sgt. Cassandra Davis with the Little Rock Police Dept. said the fire started about 4 a.m. at 1020 Jessie Road, off of Cantrell Road.
It appeared several of the units were broken into, as a chain link fence was cut and locks were forced open, according to Capt. Randy Hickman with the Little Rock Fire Dept. Davis said six storage units were broken into prior to unit 119 being set on fire. The fire caused damage to approximately 30 other units, which were either destroyed or damaged.
The storage unit does have security cameras and police are using them for their investigation. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
