HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) - A 65-year-old person died after the motorcycle they were riding on collided with a semi-truck Friday morning in Hot Springs.
The accident happened about 10:15 in the 300 block of Central Avenue, according to Cpl. McCrary Means with the Hot Springs Police Dept. Means said the collision occurred when the driver of a Hiland Dairy truck was driving in the left lane and attempted cross back into the right lane. The driver of a Harley-Davidson tried to avoid the truck and hit a curb, sending the passenger off of the motorcycle. The passenger was then struck by the rear axle of the truck.
The Garland County Coroner responded to the scene, and pronounced the passenger deceased. The victim's name has not been released at this time, and no charges have been filed in the case.
