UNDATED (CBS) - Significantly conflicting reports have come in the past couple of days on the health of former South African leader Nelson Mandela, 94.
According to CBS News, some sources have said despite reports that Mandela will soon be discharged from the hospital and his health is improving, he actually hasn't opened his eyes in days and his liver and kidneys are only operating at 50 percent. In addition, the engine failed on an ambulance that was carrying him, causing cardiologists to be concerned.
Mandela has also had surgery to repair a bleeding ulcer.
