LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - This summer has produced a boat load of winners!

The Arkansas Freedom Fund hosted outdoor events for wounded servicemen and Arkansas veterans, making them a winner. This expedition was on the Red River, giving these vets a day to honor their giving of so much more.

Another winner is the city of Conway. It is positively the most uninhibited city in Arkansas. The mild-mannered, easy-going Conway citizens posted a video of themselves barking on YouTube, so they can win a video contest with Pet Safe's National Bark for Your Park contest.

And, Conway has another champion, or shall I say, winner? Spencer Clawson is on Big Brother, giving us all a rooting interest. Plus, he also has a tremendous family, and after meeting his Mamma, I seriously advise no one underestimate him.

Winners and Losers isn't all puppies, lollipops, and rainbows. We do have a loser--Arkansas poultry. Bird flu was detected in an isolated case in Scott County, but two states and parts of Asia have put a ban on Arkansas poultry till it gets cleared up.

Diamond Bear Brewery is a winner because they need to expand, and they're moving to North Little Rock to increase their production. Bear beer is doing really well.

Teach for America is a winner, too. Last week, they received $4.3 million dollars from the Walmart Foundation. This all goes to get teachers right out of college, and they serve two years in the areas of the state that need them the most.

But, it was Monsters University that was the most successful school in the country. The movie remained number one despite the strong showing by The Heat, starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy, as well as White House Down.
