PARON, Ark. (KTHV) - The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that a 5-year-old boy who was reported missing Wednesday night was safely found early Thursday morning.

According to investigators, the boy disappeared around the 33000 block of Kanis Road Wednesday night; Lt. Carl Minden said police received a call about the missing child around 8:40 p.m.

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, the Little Rock Police Department, the West Pulaski Volunteer Fire Department, and the Arkansas Department of Corrections (ADC) all assisted with the search.

The boy was located around 3 a.m. Thursday by ADC bloodhounds in the woods east of his residence. Officials say he was found with visible scratches and was checked out by MEMS but he appears to be uninjured.

According to the narrative in a Pulaski County Sheriff's Office report, the boy's father believed that he had crawled out of the dog door to get outside because all of the doors were locked when he disappeared.
