Sex offender arrested for failure to comply with registration requirements

    LONOKE, Ark. (KTHV) - The Lonoke County Sheriff's Office has arrested a level 2 sex offender for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.

    Sheriff John Staley said the Lonoke County C.E.R.T. Team arrested Phillip Eugene Schalchlin, 57, of Lonoke, July 30 for the class C felony. Staley said Schalchlin failed to report a change of residence, a change of vehicle registration, and a change of employment.

    Schalchlin is currently being held without bond at the Lonoke County Detention Center.
