HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - The Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs is renovating its convention center.
The historic hotel at the foot of Bathhouse Row on Central Avenue is adding lights and applying new paint and wallpaper to the facility.
Workers have already completed renovations to the hotel's Crystal Ballroom.
The Sentinel-Record reports general manager Bob Martorana says the convention center updates are overdue. The space is used for meetings and seminars and groups have complained that the lighting was too dim.
The hotel is adding LED lighting and using lighter colors in the redecoration.
The convention center will still be able to host 1,000 for theater-style seating and 650 for dining.
