UNDATED (CNN) -- Most people thank other people or god for their fame, but Mark Brown owes all his fame to a friendly raccoon.
They may be dancing to Aretha Franklin's Chain of Fools, but neither man nor raccoon seem foolish once you've heard the back story. Mark Brown says, "He'd always bite me on the nose. It was just like "Daddy, I'm home, I love you, thank you for taking care of me. And I'm gonna leave you a little something to remember me by."
Yoou may remember Mark "Coon Rippy" Brown from his raccoon videos that have gone viral. The raccoon's name was "Gunshow"
Mark had discovered that Gunshow the raccoon didn't care for the body spray Mark's girlfriend had lying around. That video made it all the way to Jay Leno's show.
Gunshow the raccoon had been showing up at mark's house in the hills of Tennessee since he was a baby, coming in the house, getting fed. But at the age of almost 4, after two hit videos, unfortunately Gunshow has gone to the big gun show in the sky. He passed away back in January.
Since then Mark and his girlfriend started caring for another young raccoon they call Rebecca.
Thanks to his raccoon videos, Mark got signed by a production company. He's supposed to start shooting a pilot for a reality show in the next few weeks. He wants it to be more Duck Dynasty and less Honey Boo Boo. Brown says, "I don't mind you laughing with me, but I'll never have you laugh at me."
To his old raccoon with two video hits under his pelt, Brown says, "Gunshow, I miss you buddy. And thank you for bringing me where I am today."
So perhaps this might be the beginning of Mark Brown and Rebecca the raccoon coming to a TV near you.
