Police arrest six in Pope Co. stabbing

    POPE COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) - Police have made five more arrests in a recent stabbing.

    According to Pope County Sheriff Aaron DuVall, Kevin Long, 18; Jonathan Gunn, 37; Ronnie Cummings, Sr., 55; Ronnie Cummings, Jr., 26; and Katherine Hardcastle, 37, were all taken into police custody in connection with an Aug. 16 stabbing on the 1800 block of Bradley Cove Road.

    Earlier, police also arrested James Allen, who was transported to St. Francis County and is currently being held in lieu of $50,000 bond.

    Long was arrested on first-degree battery; Gunn was charged with hindering apprehension, driving on a suspended license, as well as a parole violation; Cummings, Sr., was charged with hindering apprehension and had misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear and contempt of court for failing to pay time payments; Cummings, Jr., was charged with hindering apprehension and had warrants for contempt of court and failure to appear; and Hardcastle was charged with hindering apprehension and criminal impersonation.

    All new arrestees are being held in lieu of $100,000 bond with the exception of Cummings, Jr., who is awaiting a bond hearing.

    Police have not given word on the victim's condition.
