LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Changes to the health care system will soon be felt by everyone.

There are still a lot of questions as to what this could mean to businesses and families, but to put an end to the confusion, our partners at Arkansas Business hosted a symposium Wednesday. The day-long event featured several panelists who took an in-depth look at the requirements, tax implications and costs to businesses.

Walter Burgess with Power Technology attended the symposium in order to keep up with all of the changes.

"The speakers are very good about giving us guidance on how the law affects employers of our size and so it's a very valuable part of annual health care review and get information before we renew later in the year," he said.

Burgess' business has about 50 employees.

The government pushed back when businesses will have to start providing insurance until 2015. As of January 1, every one of them, as well as everyone else in the US, will be fined if they don't have health insurance.
