STUTTGART, Ark. (AP) - Stuttgart school officials say a high school student may be expelled after allegedly spray painting "The South Will Rise Again" on a brick wall in the school's courtyard.
The school says another student reportedly involved in a series of pranks may be suspended.
The Stuttgart Daily Leader reports police responded last week after several juveniles were seen running from the school's property. According to school officials, the students also attempted to cover the school's donkey with plastic wrap, but the animal moved too quickly to cooperate with the pranksters.
Stuttgart Superintendent Melvin Bryant says the graffiti was a "prank that went too far" and wasn't racially motivated.
School officials say the students involved in the prank are awaiting disciplinary action from the school. No criminal charges have been filed.
