RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (ATU) - Freshman kicker Jamie McGee has been named the Great American Conference Special Teams Player of the Week after tying a GAC and UAM single-game record with three made field goals in this past Saturday's 22-20 victory over Northwestern Oklahoma State.

McGee hit a 32-yard field goal to open the game's scoring with 11:35 remaining in first quarter, added a 23-yarder at the 6:15 mark of the third quarter to give UAM a 19-14 lead and connected on what ended up being the game-winningfield goal, a career-high 43-yarder with 10:03 remaining in the fourth quarter to finalize the scoring at 22-20.

His three made field goals tied a UAM single-game record that had been accomplished 10 different times prior to this past Saturday, most recently by Nick Green twice during the 2008 season. The GAC record had been accomplished nine times before last Saturday. Henderson State kicker Charles Gonsalves also connected on three field goals this past Saturday in a 44-35 win over Southeastern Oklahoma State.

McGee currently leads the GAC and ranks seventh in all of NCAA Division II with his average of two field goals made per game. The Lake Charles, La. native has converted on all six field goal attempts this season and is on pace to break the UAM record for field goals in a season, which was set by Kevin Craft in1999 with 15.

The GAC named Arkansas Tech running back Ketrich Harmon the league's offensive player of the week, while Henderson State linebacker Keaton Stigger earned the defensive honors.
