FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - The University of Arkansas plans to unveil an addition to its student union - a terrace designed as a more casual place for students to relax.
The south terrace at the Arkansas Union is slated to open at noon Tuesday. The dean of students and the chairman of the Arkansas Union Advisory Committee Student Board are scheduled to speak at a ceremony.
The school said students had asked for a more-relaxing place around the union. The terrace will have a covered and an open seating area. The terrace will also have an outdoor fireplace, a a laptop bar, multiple outlet plugs and seating created out of recycled post-consumer milk jugs.
