CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) - Developing news tonight out of Faulkner County: deputies arrested a man after a fire near Conway on Monday.

Chief deputy Matt Rice with the Faulkner county sheriff's office said Brian Gay has been detained for observation.

According to the sheriff's office, a mentally unstable man went to a neighbor's house after his home caught fire. Gay claimed that someone was after him. When deputies got to the house on Waterfront Cove, they believed someone could still be inside and started knocking out windows. That's when a window fell on a deputy, cutting his hand.
He's expected to make a full recovery.
