BRINKLEY, Ark. (AP) - The Delta Regional Authority has presented more than $170,000 to support healthy living and help combat chronic disease in the east Arkansas Delta.
The group on Wednesday provided $170,517 to a program that works use workplaces as a way to instill healthy behaviors among employees. The authority presented the check at the ARcare Medical Clinic at the Brinkley Health Center.
Officials with the authority say the ARcare clinic was given the award for trying to improve health outcomes in the area with its "Eat Better Move More" program that works with businesses in Woodruff and Cross counties in an effort to get employees to eat healthier food and exercise more.
