LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State Police said a Phillips County sheriff's deputy has been found dead in his patrol car - but foul play is not suspected.
State police spokesman Bill Sadler said a state police investigator was called to the scene in eastern Arkansas Tuesday morning and found no apparent evidence of foul play.
Sadler said the deputy's body was sent to the medical examiner's office for an autopsy.
Phillips County authorities did not immediately return a phone call seeking comment.
