LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - We finally have the answer to a question sparked by a viral YouTube video last year.
Witt Stephens Jr. Central Arkansas Nature Center in Little Rock was packed Saturday with people wanting to learn what the fox actually says. Education specialist Hollie Sanders explained that it can't be narrowed down to one specific noise.
"A fox has several types of vocalizations. They have barks, just like dogs--alarm type barks. They also have screams, so there's certain types of screams that they do, and also growling and whining, and then they do a jeetering type of sound when they play or fight," she described.
Sanders said the event was so successful that the nature center plans on bringing it back next month.
