Report: Arkansas native A.J. Burnett signs deal with Phillies

    PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (KTHV) - Arkansas native A.J. Burnett reportedly signed a deal with the Philadelphia Phillies Wednesday.

    THV11's Hayden Balgavy is reporting that Burnett's one-year-deal with the baseball team is worth $16 million. The 37-year-old is a North Little Rock native, attended Central Arkansas Christian schools, and was drafted in 1995 by the New York Mets.

    He had most recently been playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
