OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Two of the original nine students who integrated Arkansas' Little Rock Central High School in 1957 are set to speak at Oklahoma Christian University in Oklahoma City.
The university says Carlotta Walls LaNier and Terrence Roberts are scheduled to speak during an event titled "History Speaks: Little Rock Nine" on Monday.
The nine students were confronted by a hostile crowd as they helped integrate Little Rock Central High School in Arkansas in 1957. The nine became known as the Little Rock Nine.
The free event is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the university's Hardeman Auditorium.
