    FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) - The man who drove the boat in a fatal crash that killed two U of A students had apparently been drinking and smoking marijuana prior to the collision.

    5NEWS reported that John DeSelms was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs and alcohol and admitted to police that he had done so.

    The boat he was driving crashed into a houseboat at a marina in Oklahoma, killing William "Trey" Varner III and Rachel Swetnam.
