LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Jury selection for former Little Rock Police Officer Josh Hastings will begin in June.
According to Judge Wendell Griffin, the selection will begin on June 17 at 1:30 p.m., and defense witnesses will be disclosed one week from then.
In addition, Hastings' request for a Daubert hearing, or an evaluation by a trial judge on the admissibility of "expert witness" evidence was withdrawn, and the defense motion to declare the defendant indigent was granted.
Hastings has been formally charged with manslaughter, which is a class C felony, in the death of 15-year-old Bobby Moore after Moore was hit with one of Hastings' bullets.
