NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - North Little Rock Police are investigating a shooting that happened around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.
Officers were called to the 1700 block of Main Street after reports of a shooting. Upon arrival police found an 18-year-old sitting in his vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Three other juveniles were also in the car but were unharmed.
North Little Rock Police spokesman Sgt. Brian Dedrick said a suspect walked up to the vehicle and demanded everything the teen had. Police believe the victim had a gun and tried to defend himself but was shot by the suspect.
"If you saw anything related to this incident let us know. Like I say, we don't have any suspect information, so we want anybody to come forward. We know there was quite a few people in the area," said Sgt. Brian Dedrick with the North Little Rock Police Department.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition.
