LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Officials with the Little Rock Central National Historic Site are planning ahead for the forced sequestration cuts.

Thursday they announced that they are cutting education programs including field trips in April and May.

"We estimated a cut back of close to 150 programs, and we're looking at April and May. In that, close to 7000 students would be impacted," said Robin White, with the National Historic site.

These trips involve kids from Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas and Mississippi.

The museum's plan going forward is to keep the staff they have and try and go out to schools. Officials haven't received the exact amount on how much their budget will be reduced.
