    STEM school in Sherwood celebrates student science projects

    SHERWOOD, Ark. (KTHV) - With evolving science and technology in today's world, a school in Sherwood giving its students a STEM Education. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

    Saturday, the Students at Lisa Academy celebrated their works of science. Principal Bethany Ratermann said this type of education is very important.

    "They need to be prepared for whatever's coming, so through these types of projects and these sort of celebrations, it gets the kids used to not only public speaking but also being able to create a research project to support those decisions as well as defend that when they are questioned and their findings," said Ratermann.

    Lisa Academy's STEM luncheon showcased projects from students ages 6 through 12.
