MOUNT CARMEL, Penn. (KTHV) -- In the wake of the Sandy Hook Elem. School shooting, primary schools are cracking down on gun-related threats. Many districts here send students to the office and some are strictly disciplined if they point a finger or object at another student, pretending to shoot them or playfully threaten to shoot them.

Last week in Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania, a 5-year-old student was suspended from school after she allegedly said she would shoot her classmate and then herself, with her pink Hello Kitty "bubble gun."

Her parents are fighting the suspension because their daughter didn't even have the gun with her, and because school officials questioned her for three hours without her parents' knowledge.
