Celebrate 4th of July with homemade ice cream

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Nothing says Fourth of July like ice cream to top off a great meal. 

    Cynthia Malik with Pulaski Technical College Culinary School and her kids joined THV's Stefanie Bryant and Tom Brannon to demonstrate an easy homemade ice cream recipe.

    We want your fabulous homemade ice cream recipes! You could win a new Cuisinart Pure Indulgence ice cream maker!

    Here's what you have to do to enter:

    • Submit your original homemade ice cream recipe to tbrannon@thv11.com. In the subject line you must have "Thv11 Homemade Ice Cream Recipe Sweepstakes."
    • Then submit an original recipe in the body of the e-mail no longer than 250 words, and this is important, you cannot submit a previously published recipe or recipes that have won awards or competitions.
    • One entry per email owner. Emails must include entrants name, location, and phone number.

    Today's recipe is blueberry ice cream! The ingredients are 1 1/2 cup berries, 3/4 cup milk, 2/3 cup sugar, pinch of salt, 1 1/2 cups heavy cream, 1 1/2 tsp vanilla.
