LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Kali Harding not only survived a brain-eating amoeba, but returned to school on Monday.

The 12-year-old Benton girl contracted parasitic meningitis after visiting an area water park in July. The park has since closed and Kali has received support from around the globe for her to be third known survivor in the world of parasitic meningitis. Kali's family has regularly been updating her facebook page, Prayers for Kali Le Ann and THV 11 has followed the story from the beginning.

One of her doctors, Dr. Matt Linam, Assistant Professor of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, talks about Kali's treatment and recovery on "THV 11 at Noon" with THV's Daniel Wilkerson.

We have a page dedicated to her story of fighting the amoeba and her recovery here on THV11.com.
