    Sugary Sodas, Fruit Punches, & Kidney Stone Risk

    A new study said a leading culprit in kidney stones might be sugary drinks. Just how many sodas and fruit punches increase your chances of getting the brutally painful stones? The study's authors say people who daily drank surgery sodas and fruit punch had a higher rate of getting kidney stones compared to people who drank soda about once a week or less. Other drinks, such as coffee, beer and O.J. showed a lower risk. Red wine drinkers, in fact, had one of the lowest rates of the study.

    The man who helped rescue three kidnapped women in Ohio will enjoy free burgers for the rest of his life! Charles Ramsey became a viral sensation when he described how he helped Amanda Berry and two other women in Cleveland escape their kidnapper's house. He told reporters he was eating a Big Mac when he saw Berry trying to get away. Since then, more than a dozen Cleveland restaurants have pledged to give him a free burger whenever he stops in.

    Yuichiro Miura, 80-Year-Old Japanese Climber, Becomes Oldest Atop Everest

    An 80-year-old man reached the top of Mount Everest. The Japanese man reached the top of Everest this morning along with his physician, meaning he is now the oldest person to climb the world's tallest mountain. This achievement eclipses that of a 76-year-old climber from Nepal man, who reached the top in 2008.
