LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission announced this week that alligator hunt permit applications may be submitted.
Each permit authorizes the harvest of one alligator, which must be at least four feet long.
According to AGFC, alligator hunting is allowed during these seasons:
- 30 minutes after sunset until 30 minutes before sunrise, Monday, Sept. 23.
- 30 minutes after sunset, Friday, Sept. 27 through 30 minutes before sunrise, Monday, Sept. 30.
Additionally, all successful applicants must attend a mandatory hunter orientation class.
