LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A proposal is now on the table to expand the Downtown River Trail from Little Rock to Hot Springs.
Garland, Pulaski and Saline Counties announced Thursday morning that they are teaming up to try to create the 57-mile long trail.
Pulaski County Judge Buddy Villines said it will be a big boost for tourism and allows for growth.
"It goes through urban cities and just the most incredible countryside, and economically it will raise property values throughout the length of the trail," he added.
The new trail is expected to cost between $20 million to $25 million.
