CONWAY, Ark. (UCA) - Chris Sartorius is the newest member of the University of Central Arkansas men's basketball coaching staff, head coach Corliss Williamson announced this week.

Sartorius, a former graduate assistant at the University of Arkansas, replaces Anthony Walker, who has left the coaching business to pursue another career.

"According to Coach (Mike) Anderson, he was the hardest working graduate assistant in America,' said Williamson, who played under Anderson while at Arkansas. "His organizational skills, his attention to detail, his work ethic, those are the things that were really attractive about Chris.

"I think he has a great passion for the game of basketball. And he comes from a program that is similar to ours, as far as style of basketball, what we want our program to be. So I think it's going to be a smooth transition for him here at UCA.'

Sartorius spent the past two seasons at Arkansas under Coach Mike Anderson after coming from Missouri with Anderson. He was a Razorbacks team manager in 2011-12 before becoming a graduate assistant for the 2012-13 season.

Walker was on the UCA staff for all three seasons with Williamson, but is leaving to pursue a career in real estate.

"Coach Walker was an outstanding part of our program here at UCA,' said Williamson. "He was kind of a jack of all trades for us. He had a lot of connections in recruiting, he knew a lot about scheduling, and he handled quite a bit of our compliance work.

"Coach Walker is a great guy, a family guy. He's all about family. He does things the right way. He was the perfect person to represent our program. It's tough to lose him.'
