LITTLE ROCK, Ark (KTHV) -- Antisha Anderson is the daughter of former razorback Gary Anderson, but she is truly making a name for herself these days.
The former track star is now Antisha Anderson-Scruggs, and she now finds herself running towards a new goal--fighting heart disease.
Anderson-Scruggs knows all about heart disease. She was a track star from Little Rock that eventually ran track for Clemson. There, she was diagnosed with a small tumor in her heart. She was also told the tumor was benign and there would be no reason for surgery. She transferred from Clemson University and finished her college career as an Ole Miss Rebel.
After college, she began training for the 2008 Olympics. Her dreams were derailed when she was told her tumor had grown and was rushed to surgery.
Since then, she spends time as an AAU Track coach and working on her non-profit organization. She also spends time working on her website www.antishauniquehearts.org.
