JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas State football team has suited up in shoulder pads for the first time in its fall practice.

The Red Wolves practiced in shoulder pads Sunday afternoon during its third preseason practice in as many days.

Coach Bryan Harsin says that with three practices completed, the team has done a nice job building a solid foundation for its fall camp. The Red Wolves' new head coach also says the team still has a long way to go in terms of preparation.

The practice schedule was similar to what the team will see on a full-scale two-a-day practice lineup. The team held a morning workout at Liberty Bank Stadium, which was high tempo and focused on individual training within groups, then returned to the stadium for an afternoon practice.
