Foxborough, MA (Sports Network) - Marco Di Vaio and Patrice Bernier both scored doubles on Sunday as the Montreal Impact rolled past the 10-man New England Revolution by a 4-2 score at Gillette Stadium.

Needing three points to stay in the playoff hunt, things went south in a hurry for the home side when goalkeeper Matt Reis came out to claim a loose ball and brought down Di Vaio, resulting in a red card for Reis and a penalty for Montreal just five minutes in.

Bernier easily converted the penalty to put the visitors ahead, but New England answered in the 26th minute when Diego Fagundez bagged his 10th of the season to put the sides back on level terms.

Montreal seized the lead back in the 33rd minute after Jose Goncalves was whistled for a push on Felipe in the box, resulting in another penalty for Bernier, who converted to make it 2-1.

Di Vaio bagged his first of the day in first-half stoppage time and completed his brace 10 minutes into the second half to give the visitors a comfortable 4-1 edge.

Rowe scored his sixth of the season 14 minutes from time to pull the Revs within two, but it wasn't enough as Montreal held on to claim all three points.

The result pulls Montreal even with Red Bull New York and Sporting Kansas City atop the East with 45 points, while New England remains in fifth place on 37 points.
